20 Thousand Days
Finding Inspiration From This Thing Called Life

Our Story
20 Thousand Days are a 4-piece band from Toronto, Ontario. The band formed in 2017 from a collection of rock, blues, and folk-loving nerds who met playing for the Kayt Lucas Band. Band members, Richard Begley (Bass/vocals), Donn Dixon(drums), Michael Menegon (lead vocals/guitar), and Paul Smith (keys/vocals) have been performing together since 2012.
The band just couldn't get enough of playing live music together, they formed 20 Thousand Days to play the songs from lead vocalist/guitarist, Michael Menegon's first solo album, "I Just Live Here."
The name, 20 Thousand Days comes from the approximate ages of the band members in days, when the band first formed. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses nostalgic story telling and witty banter that makes you want to stay for one more song, even when it's getting late.
20 Thousand Days have performed in many of Toronto's most intimate venues, such as the Tranzac Club's, Southern Cross Lounge and the iconic Opera House. Most recently, they held a residency at The Dock on Queen.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the band is currently on hiatus. As restrictions begin to ease, the band will be making plans to bring Michael's new album, "Time is Now," to the stage. Stay tuned for future dates!
